People are searching for meaning in crisis. In fact, ever since the COVID pandemic has started, the number of podcasts and downloads on topics related to spirituality has gone up significantly.

Looking inwards and self-reflection are on the rise. Spirituality podcasts and content is turning out to be an important aspect of caring for your mental health. Spirituality episodes broadcast has gone up dramatically in the last few months (see gif below).

In addition, an unprecedented number of new podcasts have started. They explore various aspects of love, love, God, meditation, etc. One can also see discussions around relationships, faith, the sense of self, fear in a time of lockdown, and quarantine.

It also turns out that people feel particularly spiritual on Mondays! That’s the day of the week when podcasts are consumed most. No Monday morning blues here.

While consumption has gone up, a point to observe is people are gravitating towards shorter time formats.

An upside of the crisis is that it seems to have made people pause and reboot!
